Kenya take on Gambia with a 3-1 first leg lead confident of seeing out the tie in the return over a Gambia side who missed some very good technical players due to economic issues.

Burkina Faso head to Togo with a 2-0 advantage mostly in control of the opening leg and seek to produce a similair display.

Mali host Cabo Verde bouyed by a late win in the opening leg and head to Stade Mamadou Konate seeking to seal their spot in WAFCON 2026.

A tight end to end first leg saw South Africa and RD Congo play out a 1-1 draw with the tie evenly poised. Thembi Kgatlana, Hildah Magaia, Amogelang Motau and Sinoxolo Cesane are expected to be available for the second leg boosting the South African squad.

Côte D’ivoire will host Senegal with the first leg ending in stalemate another tight tense encounter is expected with Côte D’ivoire hoping to be urged on by the home crowd to qualify for the WAFCON 2026.

The CAF Women’s Champions League produced a exciting draw with UNAF giants FC Masar and ASFAR pitted together in Group A together with 15 de Agosto and USFAS Bamako.   In Group B holders TP Mazembe were placed against Côte D’ivoire and WAFU B champions ASEC Mimosas, Cosafa and Botswana champions Gabarone and Tanzanian Cecafa winners JKT Queens.

The tournament  is set for November 8-21  in Egypt at  two venues: the Suez Canal Stadium and the Right to Dream Stadium.

The Semi Finals being on November 18 and Third Place match and Final November 21.

This year’s CAF Women’s Champions League winners will receive USD 600,000, while the runners-up will take home USD 400,000.

The champions will also qualify for the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup tournament facing Wuhan in December in the second round. The winner of that game qualifies for the Final 4 in London Jan 28-Feb 1, Where they would face Arsenal.

Morocco, Zambia, Nigeria all advanced to the Second phase of the Fifa Women’s Under 17 WWC in Morocco.   Eached produced excellent final group match performances to advance while gallant efforts saw Cameroun and Côte D’ivoire fall short in very difficult groups.

Morocco now face a huge battle against one of the tournaments favourites and highly talented DPR Korea.

Zambia face a buoyant Canada who topped Group D however they go into the tie on a high after a exceptional display to defeat New Zealand.

Nigeria also face a tough task when they face Italy who won Group A playing some excellent football. It will be a big test for the defence who will need to stay very focused and disciplined against a talented technical team and use their pace on attack at selected moments.

FC Masar of Egypt should be announced as the 8th team being runners up in UNAF Qualifying.

Kenyan Assistant Referee Elizabeth Njoroge is one referee selected to officiate at the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League.

Njoroge ,who earned her FIFA Badge in January 2025,will undergo the referees preparation course for the tournament from 3rd to 7th November in Cairo alongside 41 other Referees from across the African Continent.

CAF announced the expansion of Wafcon 2026 from 12 to 16 teams ,  since late August the proposal had been on the table, however there are still no details of how the four extra slots from the eleven second round losers would be played out.

As CAF Women’s Champions League 2025 approaches with the tournament set to commence on November 8, the host has yet to be confirmed.  However this is set to be announced in the coming days. It is believed Egypt, South Africa are among the bids to host the tournament.

Uganda proved to strong over both legs against Namibia running out 5-0 Aggregate winners.

Malawi overcame a resolute South Sudan side, Enelesi Fabiano striking a decisive goal to seal a 3-1 aggregate victory.

Egypt bounced back from a first leg defecit with a Habiba Biktash brace sending the UNAF outfit to the third qualifying round.

Romaine Gandonou was the starlet for Benin scoring 7 of the 9 goals in two entertaining duels with Guinea as Benin ran out 9-4 aggregate winners.

South Africa dominated Eswatini 9-0 over the two legs to advance for a stiff test against Ghana.

Mercy Chipasula strike on the stroke of half time sealed Zambia’s 4-1 success over the two games against Burundi to advance to face Uganda.

Tanzania cruised to a 7-0 overall win over Angola, great talent Winifrida Gerald striking twice in the first game and a goal in the return leg inspiring the success.

Nigeria powered their way to a 4-0 second leg win against Rwanda to earn a 5-0 Aggregate win and a third qualifying round clash against Senegal.

Cameroun showed no mercy in a 18-0 aggregate demolition of Niger with two powerful determined displays, they move on to face Botswana.

Senegal were too strong for Algeria with two dominant displays in a 6-0 aggregate succes as they now prepare to face Nigeria next February in the third qualifying round.

Kenya produced a stunning second leg performance as they beat Ethiopia 4-0 (5-1) Valerie Nekesa leading the charge with a 4th minute strike which saw the host take control.

Mmabatho Serokane early strike sealed Botswana’s passage to the next round despite a superbly executed strike as Botswana advanced to face Cameroun 3-1 on aggregate

Mercy Attobrah and Agnes Yeboah saw Ghana to a 2-0 second leg win over Ghana doubling the aggregate score. Ghana next face South Africa.

Côte D’ivoire produced two powerful performances to defeat Morocco 6-4  on aggregate though two late goals conceded after being reduced a player could not deflect from the dominant performance ensuring a third round clash with RD Congo.

RD Congo advanced after Mali withdrew from the second leg with the tie poised at 1-1 citing circumstances

Guiné-Bissau advanced after Congo retired from the Qualifying process they next face Malawi.

Mamelodi Sundowns took a grip on Hollywoodbets Women’s Super League with a dominant 5-1 win over TUT as TS Galaxy faltered to a second draw in 4 days.

A Safa Banouk brace lead ASFAR to a 3-0 win over ITFF in the third round of the championship campaign remaining 100%. Soukaina Boujja fired a dramatic 90+5 minute winner for SC Casablanca to turnaround a 0-1 interval defecit against HST.  Fatou Diop and Douha Ahmamou efforts earned UTS a valuable 2-0 win over PFAM. WAC defeated last seasons runner up RSB Berkane 3-1 to top the standings on goal differencial from ASFAR both have 9pts. Berkane are still winless in 3 games with 1pt.

Saratou Traoré struck the second goal for Beijing who sealed the title in the Chinese Women’s Super League in a showdown with Liaoning, Beijing won 4-0 to snatch the title on the last day of the season, Liaoning had entered the game only requiring a point.  We do not forget the early season contribution of Fridah Mukoma who Beijing lost to injury in the second part of the season who had been in great individual form inspiring victories leading to the title.

Goals from Peace Muduwa and Agnes Nabukenya saw Uganda ease through to the third qualifying round next February, joining Guinea-Bissau who received a walkover following the withdrawal of Congo.

A dominant first half from Green Buffaloes who announced the signing of Rachael Nachula saw them end Green Eagles unbeaten start, Beatrice Fwamba, Natasha Nanyangwe and Agness Phiri striking the goals.

Red Arrows moved to second Mary Membwe striking and the decisive goal in a 2-1 win at Nchanga. 

Champions Zesco recorded their first win of the season edging newly promoted Amazing Grace 2-1, Marjory Mulenga scoring the match winner.  Though the match was only Zesco’s second league game of the campaign following their participation in Cosafa CAF Women’s Champions League qualifying.

Mamelodi remain a point clear of TS Galaxy as they cruised to a 4-0 win over First Touch. Refilwe Tholakele, a brace from Nthabiseng Majiya and a Munashe Mugrawa effort earned Sundowns the points.  TS Galaxy edged Durban courtesy of a Gontse Homba strike in the second half.

Champions ASFAR defeated AMLFF 3-1 Doha El Madani, Nouhaila Benzina and Sanaa Mssoudy striking the goals against the Layoune outfit for whom Abir Choab had reduced the deficit on the stroke of half time. SCC earned their first win under Jerry Tshabalala as they beat ITFF 2-0 Chirine Knaidil and Sylviane Kokora struck.

FUS downed RS Berkane in a 5 goal thriller Imène El Ghazouani 66th minute effort being decisive. A Nadía Lftah brace and a Hajar Jbilou goal lead WAC to a 3-1 win over UTS.

Phoenix enjoyed a excellent 1-0 win over ALAMFF as Nouhaila Jami struck the winner and ARAFF defeated HST 3-2, all the goals in a dramatic first half.

Habiba Ouédraogo continued her great scoring form that lead ASEC to the title last season as the WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifying champions destroyed AFAN 14-0. Ami Diallo and Minouzan each struck quadruples in the demolition.
