Flamengo today announced Rosana Augusto as the new Head Coach of the Women’s Team.
Rosana managed Athletico Paranaense and Red Bull Bragantino until she was hired by the CBF to coach the Brazilian Women’s U-20 team in the final stretch of 2023. As the coach of the Women’s Under 20 , she won the South American championship and lead the team to the Fifa Women’s Under 20 World Cup Quarter Final in Colombia.
Flamengo currently sit in 9th position in the current championship after 6 rounds and face Juventude on 26/4.
Rosana will be the first female coach in the history of Rubro-Negro football, takes over the team from Maurício Salgado.
Rosana Augusto participated in four Olympic Games (silver in 2004 and 2008), four World Cups and three Pan American Games, a playing legend in Brasil.
