ZNK Split blitzed championship rivals Osijek 7×1. A dominant first half performance saw them take a 4×0 lead at the interval. Osijek pulled a goal back in the 57th minute before Split regained control of the game adding a further three second half goals. The two will meet again in the season Finale on August 8/9.

Following Brazil’s exit from the world Cup, Marta gave a speech on the pitch which most in the world interpretated as a speech to the youth of Brazil. Sport who dissolved the female team only to be forced to play in this year’s championship under severe pressure which penalties could have included a 2 year ban for the male team only registered 14 of the squad yesterday with the Cbf.

Pele gave Sao Francisco the lead on 17 minutes but Sport battled and the floodgates failed to materialise. It took until the 89th minute when Pipoca doubled the lead and a 95th minute Nathalia goal sealed the points for Sao Francisco.

Sao Jose opened round two proceedings with a second successive victory this time over Ponte Preta. Tayane opened the scoring on 5 minutes and Michele Carioca sealed the win on 63 minutes.

Audax defeated Minas in the other second round game. Goalless at half time Lulu struck her second goal of the season in the 51st minute to break the deadlock. Dantas sealed the victory in the 86th minute to maintain Audax 100% record.
