Cliftonville open 5 point gap in Northern Ireland as they defeated second place Glentoran 3-0.

Olimpia Cluj and Henui claimed Cup Semi final wins in Romania both easing to victories. Cluj defeating Vasas 6-1 while Henui beat Piros 4-0. The final will be held on June 5 at 13hr live on Digi Sport.

Chivas clinch glory ín Liga Mx Femenil Clausura

Another dramatic evening saw Chivas win the Liga mx femenil Clausura title. After a tightly fought first half which ended goalless the second half came to light as the tension rose to the end. Blanca Felix was the hero saving Charlyn’s penalty in the 70th minute to keep Chivas ahead in the tie, after a stunning Lizbeth Angeles strike give Pachuca the lead on the night. Pachuca pushed for the equaliser but strong defence give the visitors another clear opportunity, being limited to set peice efforts before the final whistle sounded to set the attendance of 40,432 into raptures of joy, the figure being a new record for the Guadalajara club. It is the second time Chivas has won the title having previously won the initial Apertura championship in 2017.

Another great weekend in the world of Women’s football comes to a end with many celebrations across the globe.   The weekend highlighted by the final of the Uefa Women’s Champions League final in Torino which saw Lyon claim the title for the eighth time.   OL set the tone from the outset and as early as the sixth minute they took the lead with a stunning strike from Amandine Henry, Ada Hegerberg pounced in the 23rd minute to double the advantage and in the 33rd minute Catarina Macario tapped home into a empty net as Barcelona defence crumbled under the powerful display by Lyon.  Alexia Putellas finished a fine move in the 41st minute to reduce the defecit at the interval.   The second half saw Barcelona create half chances but could rarely find a open shot as a strong Lyon defence held out to regain their title won by the Catalans last year.

FC Twente Vrouwen retained the title in the Netherlands as they defeated rivals Ajax 3-2 with a dramatic comeback from 0-2, Ajax had entered the game in the knowledge that they required to win by a 10 goal margin.

Pomurje emerged as champions in Slovenia in a hard fought contest against Olimpia Ljubljana neither team could find the target, playing out a goalless draw to give the host the necessary point to claim the title with a better head to head record over Olimpia as they both ended the season on 57 points.

Elena Dhont struck on 83 minutes before Kim Everaerts pounced to score a dramatic winner in the 87th minute.

HB Køge edged closer to retaining the title in Denmark as Cecile Fløe fired home a hattrick in the 3-0 defeat of Kolding. Any dropped points from Fortuna tomorrow or just a point in Køge next game will seal the championship.

Chivas fought back to defeat Pachuca 4-2 in a thrilling Liguilla Gran Final 1st leg contest, taking home the advantage for the second leg on Monday evening. Esbeydi Salazar opened the scoring on 27 minutes heading home a superb cross from Ruth Bravo. Gabriela Valenzuala levelled proceedings in the 49th minute before Monica Ocampo slotted home in the 53rd minute from a excellent defense splitting pass from Salazar. Chivas battled and came close to a equaliser a header striking the post. NWFL Super 6 Gift Monday fires Bayelsa to the top, Oysterbay relegated in Tanzania

Gift Monday fired a hattrick to send Bayelsa to the top of the table in the Super 6 after the second round of games. Bayelsa cruised to a 4-0 victory over Naija who were playing their first match after a dispute over kit yesterday cost them a forfeit. Nasarawa defeated Edo with Dooshima Tarnum scoring a 7th minute penalty. In the final game of the day defending champions Rivers Angels were held to a goalless draw by Delta Queens. Bayelsa and Nasarawa have 6pts, Delta 2, Edo and Rivers 1pt and Naija 0pts heading to the rest day. Action resumes Thursday morning at 10am when Nawasara play Delta.

Champions Simba Queens resumed winning form as they won 1-0 at JKT Queens via a own goal in the 45th minute by Lionet Lioko. Tiger defeated Ruvuma 4-0, Yanga eased to a 2-0 victory over TSC, Fountain Gate beat Baobab 1-0 thanks to a goal from Winifrida Mugwa and Mlandizi beat Oysterbay 3-1 a result that meant Oysterbay were relegated.

She Corporate and Kampala both won their respective games to take the championship to the final day on Friday, when She Corporate host Kampala. She Corporate won a rain delayed game 1-0 at Relegation threatened Tooro courtesy of a Alomo Whisper goal in the 28th minute. A Resty Nanziri strike give Kampala a 1-0 victory over Olila High School to set up the title showdown. Elsewhere She Maroons were relegated as they suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat at Uganda Martyrs.

Guinness super League action resumes Wednesday with one game as Éclair will host Lekie

In Zambia Red Arrows will host ZISD on Wednesday morning at 10am in a huge game that will determine the second semi finalists from group B. The winner will qualify for the semi finals to face Green Buffaloes. Should the game end in a draw ZISD will still have one game remaining against BUSA Queens. For Red Arrows it is their last regular season game.

The schedule for the CAF Women’s Under 17 Women’s World Cup qualifying is set, it will be the final qualifying round with the three winners Qualifying for the Fifa Women’s Under 17 World Cup in India.
