Africa Women’s Championships.  Simba regain the title in Tanzania.  Mogbewmo close in on the title, Commercial Bank held in Ethiopia as Hawassa draw level


Simba Queens regained the title from JKT Queens as they defeated Alliance 3-0.  Jentrix Shikangwa quickly calmed the nerves with a opening goal in the second minute. Rittica Nabbosa doubled the advantage on 20 minutes before Jentrix completed her brace on 40 minutes as Simba were in cruise control.  No further scoring was to be made before the celebrations began on the sound of the final whistle. 

JKT Queens were confirmed as runners up with two rounds remaining.  They cruised to a 4-0 win over Fountain Gate while a late strike from Winifrida Maketa earned Baobab a crucial 3-2 win over Ceasiaa Queens.

Africa Women’s Championships . A weekend of Title glory as Akbou ,Ebolowa , Kawempe ,Edo ,Police Bullets ,Aïnonvi clinch titles amid drama


Kenya Police Bullets clinched the title in Kenya with a devastating opening spell that saw them 5-0 up in the first half hour going on to defeat Zetech 6-2 as nearest rival Vihiga Queens were held to a scoreless draw by Nakuru . Bungoma neared safety with a 1-0 win over Wadadia as Kibera defeated Bunyore 4-2 safely in 4th position



CF Akbou were confirmed as champion of Algeria after Alger Centre defeated JF Khroub 1-0 . Akbou had played its match earlier in the week drawing 1-1 at Relizane ensuring Khroub had no room for error .

Ethiopia’s womens championship resumed with the top two teams playing out a goalless draw a result that keeps Commercial Bank two points clear of Hawassa .


Buja Queens edged closer to the title in Burundi as they beat Les Lionnes 4-0 to move 4pts clear of PVP whose game was postponed .


Ampem Darkoa and Hasaacas already assured of respective regional Championship titles closed the regular season in differing fashion . Ampem lost at Kumasi 1-0 while Hasaacas regaining form courtesy of a on fire Mukarama Abdulai who scored a brace in their 3-0 win at Faith Ladies .

The two will meet in the championship final on June 8.


ASFAR reached the Coupe du Trône Feminin final overcoming a battling display from newly promoted RS Berkane , Mafia’s goal on 40 minutes proving to be the decisive goal in the match .   AMLFF defeated WAC 2-0 to claim their spot in the final .


Kawempe Muslim Ladies overcame Kampala Queens to dethrone the defending champions with a 2-0 win , Agnes Nabukenya and Allen Nassazi the goal heroines for the newly crowned champions .

Edo Queens were crowned champions of Nigeria for the first time in a dramatic last round of action.   Edo took the lead on Bayelsa through a athletic close range finish from Emem Essien on 29 minutes.  However Zainab Olopade equalised shortly after the interval to level the match at 1-1.   Meanwhile Rivers Angels took the lead through Olimide Adugbe a goal which meant they were set to be champions only for a dagger from the Heartland Queens when Emmanuella James pounced from close range on 90 minutes to take the title glory ín the hands of the Edo Queens.  Nasawara Amazons ended a fine tournament in fourth defeating Confluence 1-0, a very good stubborn defence unfortunately short of goals only scoring 1 while conceding 2 in the five matches the downfall for them.

However Ebolowa cruised to the victory ensuring they remained top of the standings courtesy of the head to head confrontations over Lekié.

Green Buffaloes were crowned champions for the tenth successive season.  Kabange Mupopo eased the nerves of the last day opening the scoring in the first minute.  Maweta Chilenga added a second on 47 minutes to seal the title.  Zesco Ndola completed a great season defeating ZISD 2-0. Kamfinsa Blue avoided relegation with a excellent win at Indeni Roses, Luyando Foundation likewise with a 4-1 win over YASA as National Assembly despite a last day win at Trident Queens became the final team to be relegated along with Queens, Chipata and Katwe Celtic

Army outlasted a brave effort from second division Epiphany in a tense Ghana Women’s Cup semi final .  Adama Alhassan equaliser for Epiphany in the 59th minute took the tie to extra time . Vera Bema struck a excellent match winner on 112 minutes much to the relief of the top tier outfit .   In the second Semi Final Police dominated Supreme with a opening blast Juanita Aguadze scoring twice in the opening four minutes .  Police lead 3-0 at half time before play was unable to resume to the following morning . Inter D’Abidjan clinched the title in Côte D’Ivoire with a 3-1 win over Ange FC. The unbeaten champion improved their record to 18 wins and one draw through round 19. ASEC remain on course for the runners up spot Ouedraogo Habibou scoring five goals in the 10-1 demolition of Teco




ASFAR clinched a 11th title in Morocco with four games to spare. Doha El Madani lead  the way with a hattrick in a 7-0 win over AJNLF. Second place SCC where held to a draw by CRAH.

Oumou Kone scored 7 goals as USFA crushed Etoile 9-0. Amazone and Super Lionnes both earned victories to remain first and second respectively in Group B. AS Mande defeated Police 3-0 to return to the top of Group A Fatoumata Diarra scoring a brace in the win. Police remain in second on 16pts.

Indeni Roses remain third Noria Sosala scoring the match winner over Police Doves. Kamfinsa Blue earned a vital win in the relegation battle defeating ZISD 1-0 Namakau Mwangala scoring the winning goal. National Assembly also gained valuable points with a 3-1 win over Nkwazi Queens

Aigle Dames de la Medina continued there charge to the title in Senegal. Haby Balde scored the match winner against Amazone and move 9 points clear at the top of the standings.  Second place Bambey suffered a 1-0 loss to USPA.



Etincelles ended the first phase of the season defeating Hirondelles 5-0 to stay top of the standings at the half way mark, Deborah Guia scoring four goals. USFA also recorded a 5-0 win to stay second, 3pts behind.

Kenya took a break from the league as Kenya Police Bullets continued its bid for a double. Dominating the championship the leaders stormed to a 4-1 win over Kangemi, Lucy Kwekwe scoring twice, Lydia Akoth and Rebecca Okwaro also finding the net.  A second half goal Blitz from Zetech saw them cruise to a 8-0 win over Kisiwa. Ulinzi Starlets overcame Milima 2-0 Everline Juma and Fasila Adhiambo the scorers. Nancy Atako, Lucky Achando and Maximila Robi found the net as Kibera Soccer beat Bungoma 3-0.


Hadijah Nandago scored the vital goal as Kawempe Muslim open a 7 point gap at the top of the table over Kampala Queens .  Kawempe defeated UCU Lady Cardinals 2-1, Cardinals drop into the relegation zone .  Reigning champions Kampala where held 2-2 by Makarere Sharon Namatovu brace for the visitors ensured a vital point .


Champions Mamelodi brushed aside Richmond 5-0 , Hadebe 32, Biyana 35 , Ramalepe 42 ,Majiya 52 and Kgadiete 72 the scorers.  Tuks defeated Copperbelts 3-2 in a five goal thriller , JHB defeated Durban 2-0 and UWC moved up to fourth with a 4-0 win over City Lads .  Unfortunately the round ended with a brawl in Royal AM’s 2-1 win over Lindelani of which the league announced disciplinary measures will be coming pending the investigation .


Mogbewmo Queens routed Police 8-0 the dominating champions on course to repeat 6 points ahead of Kallon who to had a huge win over Kahunla 7-0.


LDF overcame a test from LMPS scoring a 1-0 win to move to within a victory of retaining the title . They will face Berea next weekend in a catch up game the only scheduled match of the league . K4L brushed aside Bantu 5-1 .


CR Belouizdad held Affak Relizane to a 2-2 draw as round 13 continued today . The league looks forward to the crunch duel at the top of the table on Friday when JF Khroub host CF Akbou


CF Akbou continued there excellent season as they bid for a double . Akbou ensured their spot in the final as they eased past ASE Bejaia 4-0. CS Constantine defeated Affak Relizane in penalty drama 4-2 after the two played out a 1-1 draw .

Battles for second spot remain tight as Northern won 3-1 at Tamale and Dreamz beat Prisons 1-0 to move into third in the North section a point behind Northern .  Faith Ladies fell to the Police 0-2 but remain 3pts clear of Army.
