Aigles de la Medina qualified in a dramatic last day when Tournament host Mogbewmo Queens where held to a scoreless draw by Red Scorpion of Gambia, after Aigles had defeated Determine Girls 2-1. Meta Kande, Mbene Kane being influential on the clubs successful year domestically and regionally.

Juliette Sambou, a hard-hitting striker, joins the Aigles de la Médina after her time at ESSAMAYE FC (ex-Gazelles de Bignona) alongside Edmée Diagne, the versatile international, seen at CAN 2022, ready to strengthen the central axis and the midfield.

The Senegalese Football Federation generously contributed 15 million FCFA for crucial support to strengthen the preparation for the Women’s Champions League, scheduled from November 9 to 23 in Morocco.




FCF Mazembe advanced to the CAF Women’s Champions League courtesy of Esther Dikisha’s equalising goal in the final match of a round Robin tournament. Esther alongside Merveille Kanjinga  Sabina Thom a Malawi international being key players in a strong physical squad.

Of the qualifying squad Faso international Juliette Nana, and Zambian Agnes Banda have departed.



Ethiopian Champions CBE defeated Kenya Police Bullets in a hard fought final inspired by Senaf Wakuma who had a great season domestically also. Msay Temesgen will be another vital player in the squad.



CBE squad that earned their passage to their first CAF Women’s Champions League finals appearance.

Since the qualifying they have not started their Ethiopian Women’s Championship how little game time affects in pressure situation has to be seen however the team has been training very hard and looking forward to the challenge ahead



ASFAR qualified defeating Egypt champion Tutankhamun (now FC Masar) 1-0 in the final match of a round Robin tournament, Najat Badri scoring the winner on 29 minutes.  Sanaa Msoudy being another influence on her return to the club that lost stars Ghizlane Chebbak and Fatima Tagnaout. ASFAR bought in Chaymaa Mourtaji who starred with rival SCC last season a very successful personal campaign. Doha El Madani and Zineb Erroudany again start the season in good form.

ASFAR started their domestic campaign with four wins and a 0-0  draw in their last match against HST on Saturday Nov 2.

FC Masar qualified as UNAF runner up when CAF officially announced Morocco would host the tournament. A fantastic year domestically dominating ending the Wadi Degla strangle hold, they have started their domestic season unbeaten however two of their wins where courtesy of walkovers, they enter the tournament with a little lack of playing time and without facing a major opponent in the opening five rounds.

They however showed great potential in the qualifying tournament, Sandrine Niyonkuru and Halla Mostafa being two key players, along with Uganda international Shadia Nabirye and Tanzania International Hasnath Ubamba 

Sandrine with 70 goals plus  in the last year domestically and being top scorer in UNAF Women’s champions league qualifying tournament in August with 5 goals.

African Women’s Championships : HST hold ASFAR, Amus foil Kawempe, Mamelodi celebrate 5 in a row, Akbou super cup champion


Nchanga continua impress as Ivy Nambeye continues her excellent scoring form bagging a brace as they dominate Nkana Queens 4-0. Early goals from Blessing Chisenga and Grace Phiri paved the way for Play It Forward as they beat Luyando 2-1.


HST produced a valiant display to hold ASFAR to a goalless draw, frustrating the champions whose late upsurge in tempo proved to be of no avail.  SCC remains 100% as they defeated ITFF 2-0, RSB also open with 5 successive wins with a 13-0 win over struggling SCCM.

Mamelodi sealed a 5th successive championship dominating TUT from the outset on their way to a 5-0 victory to spark champagne celebrations.  Sundowns now head to Morroco to defend their CAF Women’s Champions League title.

Leaders Rayon Sports thrashed Muhazi 7-0 as they continue their dominant opening to the league season. Perennial foe AS Kigali fell to Indahangarwa and already face a 10 pt defecit.


Amus College impressive early season form saw them hold champions Kawempe Muslim to a 1-1 draw a unfortunate late Amiya Jazira own goal foiling a excellent victory.  Amus face Kampala in the next round who defeated Rines 2-0 with goals from Sumayah Nalumu and Zainah Nandede. Kampala also announced Asefa Firew Hailegebreal as the new Head Coach on a two-year  deal.

Asefa, a former Ethiopia Women National Football Teams head coach takes over the new role from Ayiekoh Lukula Charles who left the club last week.

Deborah Afriyie 55th minute goal earned Police a 1-0 win over reigning champions Hasaacas. Dreamz continue to impress Yaa Abrifi firing home a 80th minute winner. Victoria Banful earned Ampem a narrow win at Kusami.


CF Akbou won the Super Cup, Ikram Bahri scoring the decisive goal in the 86th minute to defeat JF Khroub. In league action Affak Relizane opened their season with a 3-2 win over Alger Centre.


Vihiga Queens moved to the top of the table Diana Cherono Sigei scoring the winner against Bungoma.  Wadadia earned their first points overcoming Bunyore who remain rooted to the bottom of the table.  Champion Police Bullets face Kibera on Wednesday Nov 6.


ASEC trounced Koria 8-0 to lead the way in Côte D’ivoire. N’Guessan Nadege leading the scoring with a hattrick.  Sekala also strolled to a 5-1 win over African Sport.  Champions Inter D’Abidjan did not play.


In Togo only one game was played as Ahe defeated Winners Girls 3-0, Alice Ogbor scoring a hattrick.   The remaining teams sat out the round in a ongoing dispute over unpaid funds from the government.


Miatta Morris was the star of the weekend scoring four as Shaita defeated Ambassadors 5-0.

Diamond Dahn earned Determine a narrow 1-0 win over Senior Pro.

The second round of the Ghana Women’s Premier League saw champions Hasaacas held to a scoreless draw by Soccer. Mary Amponsah struck Ampem Darkoa’s winner against Northern Ladies, recent U20 WWC star Stella Nyamekye Was on target as Super Cup winners Dreamz defeated Fosu 2-0.


Asec swept aside Juventus 8-0, N’Guessan Nadege leading the way with a hattrick. Ouedraogo Habibou, Brou Sopie both scored braces and Timite Yasmine completed the rout.  Champion Inter did not play

Indeni Roses moved to Joint leaders Edith Phiri leading the way in a 3-0 victory over Zanaco, Thandiwe Nhata added a double. Indeni move to 24pts. Nchanga Rangers bagged a impressive 8-3 win at Luyando Nambeye Wazingwa scoring 5 in the goal fest. Green Eagles and Kamfinsa each registered 2-1 away victories Rachel Moono scoring a 90th minute winner for Eagles both continue impressive starts to the season.


Champions Rayon opened a early 5 point gap at the top of the table dominating Fatima 6-0 as AS Kigali had to settle för a 1-1 draw with Kanyomi.


Determine Girls rattled 10 past Earth Angels a new low for the once giant of the league Jessica Quachie scoring a hattrick in the resounding win. World Girls got their first victory hattricks from Ativor Holali and Marion Browne in a 7-0 win over Real. Miatta Morris and Comfort Frimpong both scored braces as Shaita Angels eased to a 5-0 win over Ravia.  Shaita one of the favourites to end Determine Girls recent title dominance.


With Entente out of Action Ahe were frustrated by Barracuda to a 0-0 draw failing to draw level on points at the top of Poule A. ASKO remain top of Poule B dominating Doumbe 5-0.


Algeria’s Women’s Championship began with the opening round top clash between Champions Akbou and Relizane being rescheduled due to International commitments.  CS Constantine came from behind to defeat FC Bejaia 3-1 while MZ Biskra recorded a 1-0 win over Alger Centre. Promoted CEA Setif defeated AR Guelma 2-0.

Melika William struck a late equaliser as Bunda Queens held JKT to a 1-1 draw Stumai Abdallah had put the visitors ahead.   Simba Queens defeated Fountain Gate 3-1 in a tense tussle Jentrix Shikangwa sealing the game in the 85th minute. Mashujaa earned a excellent win defeating Ceasiaa 3-0.


Goals from Shaima Ali 13 Alice Ogebe 36 Fajobi Yetunde Atinuke 87 earned Zamalek a 3-0 win over ZED FC in a hard fought contest Monday afternoon ending á exciting Second Round.  Newcomers Al Alhy laid down it’s mark for the season defeating Wadi Degla in a fierce encounter Habiba Essam striking a stunning match winner in stoppage time.  Champions FC Masar lead Ithad 7-0 at the interval before the opponent withdrew.


Champions Kawempe kept their 100% start to the season intact narrowly defeating She Maroons thanks to a goal from Shadia Nabirye on 35 minutes.  Expected title challenger Kampala Queens were held to a goalless draw by Makerere.


Sanaa Mssoudy scored a brace as ASFAR defeated ITFF 4-1. Promoted Berkane impressive start continued with a third successive win defeating FUS 2-1 Salimata Diarra struck a 85th minute winner. SCC defeated CRAH 2-0 while the unfortunate situation remains for SCCM who where crushed 18-0 by AMLFF.


Mary Mulenga fired in a eighth minute winner as Red Arrows inflicted a second defeat on the season for champions Green Buffaloes. Indeni moved to second spot with a 2-0 success at Elite.


Tambo held Poule B leaders ASKO to a goalless draw as Foadan returned to winning form beating Koroki 2-1.  In Poule A leaders Entente suffered a surprise 2-1 loss to Barracuda as OTR moved into second spot with a 2-1 win at AMOU.


UWC put Mamelodi title on Ice beating Lindelani 4-1 whose hope of survival took a severe blow. Amogelang Motau opened the scoring on 43 minutes before Mbalenhie Tenza equalised in first half stoppage time. Sibulele Holweni struck on 46 minutes coming on as a Half Time substitute to restore the UWC lead. Fikile Magama and Ntombifikile Ndlovu added goals on 54 and 57 minutes to complete the scoring. Mamelodi defeated Pretoria 3-0, League leading scorer Boitumelo Rabale give Sundowns the lead on 38 minutes, she moves onto 17 goals for the season. Kharabo Dhlamini added a second on 45+2 minutes. Melinda Kgadiete wrapped up the scoring on 71 minutes.  Mamelodi next game is not until November but can clinch the title if UWC drop points in it’s catch up games.   Remaining fixtures for both are.

Champions Police Bullets downed Bunyore with a 2-0 victory, Rebecca Okwaro and Mercy Njeri finding the target.  Zetech and Vihiga played to a goalless draw, likewise Mombasa and Kisimu. Promoted Trinity had a impressive 1-0 win at Kibera Chesang Berasa striking the match winner and Kisped held Ulinzi to a 1-1 draw.

Hasaacas Ladies recovered from the Ghana Women’s Super Cup tournament third place by defeating Army 2-0.  Hasaacas dominated much of the game and  Comfort Owusu opened the scoring on 39 minutes. Mercy Attobrah 74th Minute effort sealed the game as Hasaacas comfortably held onto their two goal advantage.


Another fine weekend of scoring for Africans abroad in top divisions.  None so much more than for Temwa Chawinga who broke NWSL’s Single season goal scoring record moving onto 19 goals overtaking Sam Kerrs 2019 record of 18.  Ibtissam Jraïdi, Mavis Owusu shone in Saudi Arabia with hattrick. Doris Boaduwaa’s header earned Hapoel Katamon Jerusalem a 2-1 win over champion Kiryat Gat in Israel. Assista Traoré assisted Fleury to a 4-1 win over Guingamp in France. Lushomo Mweemba and Ramata Sawadogo were on target for Hakkarigücü in their 2-0 win over Çemeköy.

Zesco Ndola continue another great start to the season as they dispatched Nkana Queens 5-0.  Namasiku Lungowe scored a additional time winner as ZISD moved into second spot, Indeni Roses being held by Zanaco who are finding better form as the season progresses. Green Buffaloes have been out of action due to military training.


JKT Queens won the Community Shield Donisia Minja struck a stunning last gasp free kick to claim the trophy  as the match seemed to be heading to penalties.

Second Round action saw Champions Kawempe Muslim improve to six points, Agnes Nabukenya adding to her opening round hattrick to lead the early goal scoring chart with 4 goals.  Vice Champions Kampala notched their first win of the season Shamirah Nalugya scoring the only goal as they defeated She Corporate 1-0.


Lesotho champions LDF Ladies opened the season with a 15-0 demolition of Thabatseka. Molefe Phuzile firing home six goals in the rout. Contenders Kick 4 Life downed Stoko 6-0 while LMPS defeated Bantu 4-0


With ASKO on a bye week Foadan failed to cut into the lead being held by Tambo 2-2. In Group A leaders Entente where held to a 1-1 draw by OTR


In round 2 Action Berkane scored a impressive win defeating ARAFF 5-0, Salamatu Diarra leading the way with a brace. Champions ASFAR defeated RCAZ 3-0 Zineb Redouani scoring twice to be joint top scorer in the league after two rounds with 3. WAC defeated SCCM 10-0 in unfortunate circumstances as the game was abandoned at 70 minutes with the visitors only having 6 players remaining having travelled with only 12 players a substitute goalkeeper only on the bench. HST and Phoenix battled out a 1-1 draw, SCC beat CSST 2-0 with similar scoreline victories for AMLFF and FUS.


With leaders Mamelodi out of action UWC won one of 3 games in hand as they defeated Richmond 2-1, Sibulele Holweni scoring a 90th minute winner. Marizka Adams gave Richmond a 15th minute lead before Fikele Magama equalised in the 36th minute.  UJ remain third with a 3-0 victory over bottom side Thunderbirds.   Lindelani escape attempt continues as they defeated Durban 1-0 Mandisa Faya scoring the winner in the 9th minute.


Kenya’s Women’s Super League season opened at the weekend with champions Kenya Police Bullets continuing where they left off, as they ran out 3-0 winners over Kisped, Becky Okwaro scoring twice and Lydia Akoth finding the target. Newcomers Mombasa and Trinity recorded impressive wins respectively,  Vihiga Queens edged out Ulinzi 1-0


Another impressive weekend for Africans abroad.  Temwa Chawinga headlining equalling the NWSL single season goal scoring record moving onto 18 goals.  Brenda Tabe was celebrating a title in Ireland her goals in the title run in proved crucial leading Athlone Town to Championship glory. Daniela Meriva impressive start to the season for Famalicão continued once again finding the net the highly talented youngster quickly making her name in Portugal.    Rasheedat Ajibade was rewarded for her excellent start to the season in Liga F being named player of the month for September.  Lily Niber-Lawrence and Alvine Ngonja assisted Sevinch to a emphatic 10-1 win in the Uzbekistan Women’s Cup Semi Final over So’g’diyona.  While Kenya’s Tereza Engesha scrambled last gasp equaliser earned Red Angels a 2-2 draw against Abu Dhabi Country in the AFC Women’s Champions League Group stage her second of the match. Tanzania’s Lyudmila Enekia double helped Mazatlan to a 2-1 win over Pumas, Enekia in very good personal form with impressive performances in Liga Mx Femenil 🇲🇽.

Mamelodi Sundowns showed no mercy to the low flying l stuck at the bottom of the table.  Sundowns rattled in 13 goals without reply. Boitumelo Rabale started the demolition with a early brace with substitute Rhoda Mulaudzi striking a hattrick. Gabonnele Kekana, Lelona Daweti also bagged doubles as Regina Mogolola, Khunjowla Mali, Nonhlanhla Mthandi and Melinda Kgadiete joined in on /mjjnn=/hhhhhhn. Unny=leaders act.  Mamelodi continue to enjoy a healthy 14pt advantage though UWC do have 3 games in hand.

UWC defeated Durban 2-0 Sibulele Holweni and Tiffany Kortjie finding the target.

Jhb remain in third enjoying a 4-0 victory over Fort Hare.



Champions ASFAR commenced the new season with a comfortable 4-0 win over ARAFF.  Sanaa Mssoudy, Najat Badri a brace and Zineb Redouani scoring the goals.  Elsewhere Sporting Casablanca overcame AMLFF Sylviane Kokora scoring the winner. FUS defeated WAC 3-1 and HST crushed Chabab outfit 6-1 Fatima Zhara Nainaa bagging a double.  Berkane won the battle of the newcomers 1-0 Anissa Belkasmi the vital goal.  This season under new regulations 4 teams will be relegated.


Zesco Ndola Girls continued there 100% start to the season defeating Green Eagles 4-1, Charity Mubanga scoring twice Avell Chitundu and Fridah Kabwe finding the target. Kamfinsa Blue continued a impressive start overcoming Indeni Roses 2-1. Zanaco got there first win of the season a resounding 5-0 win over Nchanga.

Stella Nyamekye player of the tournament

Ghana starlet Stella Nyamekye inspired Dreamz Ladies to a surprising Ghana Women’s Super Cup 2024 victory.  After overcoming Hasaacas in the Semi Final, Dreamz took down Ampem Darkoa in the final, Stella Nyamekye scoring the tournament winning goal in a 2-1 win.


Champions Kawempe Muslim made mistake as they opened the 2024-25 season with a 3-0 victory over Rines, Agnes Nabukenya the hattrick hero of the game.  Wakiso Hill stunned Kampala Queens with a dramatic added time equaliser for a 1-1 draw.


Togo Champions ASKO march on in Poule B defeating Foadan 2-1,  Entente continua to lead Poule A with a 3-1 win over Athléta.


Shaita Angels defeated Determine Girls in the Liberia  Women’s Super Cup in a penalty shoot out following a regulation time 1-1 stalemate.
