Aigles de la Medina qualified in a dramatic last day when Tournament host Mogbewmo Queens where held to a scoreless draw by Red Scorpion of Gambia, after Aigles had defeated Determine Girls 2-1. Meta Kande, Mbene Kane being influential on the clubs successful year domestically and regionally.
Juliette Sambou, a hard-hitting striker, joins the Aigles de la Médina after her time at ESSAMAYE FC (ex-Gazelles de Bignona) alongside Edmée Diagne, the versatile international, seen at CAN 2022, ready to strengthen the central axis and the midfield.
The Senegalese Football Federation generously contributed 15 million FCFA for crucial support to strengthen the preparation for the Women’s Champions League, scheduled from November 9 to 23 in Morocco.



FCF Mazembe advanced to the CAF Women’s Champions League courtesy of Esther Dikisha’s equalising goal in the final match of a round Robin tournament. Esther alongside Merveille Kanjinga Sabina Thom a Malawi international being key players in a strong physical squad.

Of the qualifying squad Faso international Juliette Nana, and Zambian Agnes Banda have departed.



Ethiopian Champions CBE defeated Kenya Police Bullets in a hard fought final inspired by Senaf Wakuma who had a great season domestically also. Msay Temesgen will be another vital player in the squad.

Since the qualifying they have not started their Ethiopian Women’s Championship how little game time affects in pressure situation has to be seen however the team has been training very hard and looking forward to the challenge ahead



ASFAR qualified defeating Egypt champion Tutankhamun (now FC Masar) 1-0 in the final match of a round Robin tournament, Najat Badri scoring the winner on 29 minutes. Sanaa Msoudy being another influence on her return to the club that lost stars Ghizlane Chebbak and Fatima Tagnaout. ASFAR bought in Chaymaa Mourtaji who starred with rival SCC last season a very successful personal campaign. Doha El Madani and Zineb Erroudany again start the season in good form.
ASFAR started their domestic campaign with four wins and a 0-0 draw in their last match against HST on Saturday Nov 2.

FC Masar qualified as UNAF runner up when CAF officially announced Morocco would host the tournament. A fantastic year domestically dominating ending the Wadi Degla strangle hold, they have started their domestic season unbeaten however two of their wins where courtesy of walkovers, they enter the tournament with a little lack of playing time and without facing a major opponent in the opening five rounds.
They however showed great potential in the qualifying tournament, Sandrine Niyonkuru and Halla Mostafa being two key players, along with Uganda international Shadia Nabirye and Tanzania International Hasnath Ubamba
Sandrine with 70 goals plus in the last year domestically and being top scorer in UNAF Women’s champions league qualifying tournament in August with 5 goals.
