CBF announces 20% increase in quota values for Brasilerão Femenino, record investment.

Reigning champions Corinthians

The Brasilerão Femenino scheduled to commence March 23 and will last approximately six months. The final is scheduled for September 14.

“We are preparing to hold the best edition of the Brasileirão Feminino. The CBF has increased its investment in the competition, increasing the quotas, as well as all transportation, logistics and accommodation for the teams. The goal is to make women’s football stronger and stronger each season,” said CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues

In 2025, the entity expanded the delegations of visiting clubs. From this edition onwards, each club will travel with 30 members, who will have transportation, logistics, food, among other actions, fully funded by the CBF.

Clubs will be able to register a maximum of 50 athletes in the competition, until 08/08/2025 (Friday, the day before the quarter-finals).

The CBF Concussion Protocol will also be adopted in the Brazilian A1. The protocol establishes an extra substitution if a player suffers a concussion due to a blow to the head. If necessary, the team doctor, who is solely responsible for diagnosing the injury, must inform the referee using a red card.

The extra substitution provided for in the protocol can only be used once by each team on the field. The substituted athlete must be away for a minimum period of 5 days from the moment of the head injury.

The CBF will pay for all refereeing and will use VAR in all matches from the quarter-finals of the competition onwards.
