African Women’s Championships: Hasaacas whip Halifax, Green Buffaloes rally, USFA fall to Etincelles, Rayon, Police remain locked, Bokkies sink Gunners, Lekie held.


Hasaacas crushed Halifax 6-0 to move to the top of the table in Ghana ‘s South Section with Mary Opoku Ndali and Anita Kwarteng scoring braces. Army join Hasaacas on 27pts with Zinatu Alhassan striking a 87th minute winner. Deborah Afriyie’ s second minute effort was enough for Police to defeat Epiphany and enter a tense race 5pts adrift of the leaders with still 6 rounds remaining.

Ampem Darkoa remain in control of the North section thanks to a Maríam Olawjmi stoppage time winner to defeat Kumasi 2-1. Savannah stay second defeating Dreamz 3-2 in a 5 goal thriller who fall into a relegation spot.


Green Buffaloes rallied from a 1-0 defecit to defeat Kamfinsa 3-1 with late goals from Maylan Mulenga and Victoria Mkwala sealing the win. Zesco were held to a goalless draw and remain 3pts behind but have two games in hand. Indeni move into the third spot with a 3-1 win over Chipata as Red Arrows drew 0-0 with fourth place Zanaco.


A Catherine Jatta brace and a strike from player of the match Louise Brown lead Determine Girls to a 3-1 win over Small Town to maintain the leadership a point clear of Shaita Angels who thrashed Real Muja 7-0.   Third place World Girls fell to a 1-0 defeat a important win for Tap Tap in the relegation battle.


AS Bolonta stay 5 points clear in Guinea defeating Horaya 3-0.    C. O. R thrashed JTK 8-0. Yimbaya showed no mercy to bottom placed Kebou rattling home 17. But it was Sangbralla the heroines of the round, surviving a crash end route to their game to dominate Hirondelle 9-1 with a dominant performance.


Aigles Medina eased to a 5-0 win over CASA, with Awa Casset scoring a hattrick while Tacko Diabira and Sonia Django in another dominant display.


Rayon and Police remain separated by goal differencial in Rwanda, Rayon gaining another success defeating Macuba 2-0 while Police WFC defeated Bugesera 4-1.


CF Akbou produced another dominant display sweeping aside CS Constantine 6-1 as they continue their procession to retaining the title.


The second week of action in the Guinness Super League saw champions Lekie held by Amazone to a goalless draw while Ebolowa settled for a 1-1 draw with Cyclone


Berea joined Kick 4 Life on 22pts defeating Mawes 3-1 as only 3 games took place as Lesotho prepare for the Cosafa Women’s Championship.


Another double round of activities over the weekend in Namibia which saw UNAM Bokkies hit the top the table defeating defending champions Mighty Gunners 2-1 in round 7.


Police Bullets again were out of action and Vihiga failed to take advantage having to settle for a goalless draw with Zetech


TMT cut the advantage to 6pts in the only game of the weekend with a solid 3-0 win over Brikama


Orapa improves to 15pts from 5 games to lead the North section as they defeated Eyes on the Ball 2-0, Western moved into second spot with a 4-0 win over Tornado.

Only two games took place in the South BDF moved to the top despite being held to a goalless draw by Jwaneng.


Etincelles inflicted USFAS first defeat of the season with a 2-0 with goals from Cherifatou Soulgani from a freekick and a penalty converted by Déborah Guira.

USFA’s advantage at the top of the table was reduced to 7pts.


Goals from Prisca Diallo 12, Aicha Fofana 45+2, Habibou Ouedraogo 46 and Noura Diarra lead ASEC to another convincing win beating AFAN 4-0 to remain three points behind the leaders Atletico D’Abijan who thrashed Inter 8-0. Atletico’s goals came from Djelika Diarra, Frederique Melei, Mama Junior,Fofana a brace, Sandrine Namen, Karidja Fofana, Alida Kouamlan  and Esperance Agbo.

ASEC Mimosas have a game in hand and a superior goal differencial.

The third round saw RCA defeat SC Casablanca on penalties in the surprise of the round. ASFAR advanced to the Quarter Finals having a bye in the fourth round. League Leaders WAC survived a tense tie against RCAZ advancing after a penalty shoot out succes. They to have a fourth round bye and await the winner of RCA and ANAF.
