Eclair Forfeited their game among a ongoing dispute releasing a statement
The executive board of the Éclair Football Girls of SA’A Club informs the national and international public, as well as all stakeholders in the sporting community, of extremely serious legal, sporting, and social events resulting from manifestly illegal, irregular, and sporting decisions and actions attributable to the Cameroonian Football Federation and certain of its administrative officials.
By a decision lacking any statutory, regulatory, or legal basis, discovered on social media and never notified to the club, the Secretary General of FECAFOOT administratively suspended the Club.
On the basis of this illegal suspension, the Secretary General of the Federation arrogated to himself the right, in total lack of authority, competence, and mandate, to install a Provisional Management Committee to head the Club
In pursuing these illegal acts, the Federation proceeded with an unjustified refusal to issue licenses to the Club’s players, without individual disciplinary action, without regulatory basis, and outside of any adversarial procedure.
It is worth recalling that the Éclair Football Fille de SA’A club has regularly paid the affiliation and licensing fees for the players and coaches on its roster.
Incidentally, such a refusal:
– violates the players’ fundamental right to practice their sport;
constitutes a disguised collective sanction, prohibited by the general principles of disciplinary law;
