

The first SAFF Women’s Championship takes place in Kathmandu from December 5-20. Played in a league system before the top two face off on December 20 in the Grand Final. A exciting time for SAFF Women’s football and a very interesting tournament ahead as clubs invested to strengthen their teams for the tournament.
The winners will receive US$10,000 and the runners-up $5000.

Karachi City signed up several stars to represent them in the tournament including Pakistan captain Maria Khan, Jordan legend Maysa Jbarah, New Zealand international Eve Barry and Tunisian star Samia Ouni.
Dominant champions in Pakistan in 2024 with a record of 114 goals in 7 games defeating Legacy 4-0 in the final.
They enter the tournament determined to make Pakistan proud it will be interesting to see if so many players can gel quickly and be a force in the tournament.

Transport of United came third in the 2025 Bhutan National Women’s Championship losing out on the title to RTC 48pts, Paro FC 48pts finishing in third spot with 42pts.
Scoring 122 goals in the winning 13 games, drawing 3, and losing only 2 conceding just 9.

Nasrin Sports Academy arrive at SAFF as the reigning champions of Bangladesh.
However they have stars missing Sabina, Masura, Krishna in national team camp. Alpi Akter of the U-17 and U-20 national teams will play for Nasrin Academy. Therefore, another senior footballer, Sanjida Akhtar, who is outside the national team camp, has been given the captaincy of Nasrin.

APF FC Women arrive at SAFF as Nepal’s dominant force, four straight league titles, and a unbeaten league season.
Puja Rana Magar previously linked with Bangladesh’s Nasrin Sports Academy decided to stay in Nepal and will represent APF FC in the tournament.
Meena Deuba, one of Nepal’s most dynamic forwards, joins APF FC from Nepal Police Club.
Bimala BK, formerly from Tribhuvan Army, strengthens APF’s defensive unit.
