The line ups of last years Final

ASFAR progressed with methodical displays improving game by game as they defeated USFAS and 15 de Agosto 2-0. The spine of the team mostly remains over the years and the veterans scored the goals to ensure they became the only team to advance to the Semi Final in all five editions. The main edition was to bring in Anissa Lahmari. Another tight tense encounter is in store both aiming for a second title, a duel for all Women’s football fans to enjoy two of African excellent club teams with added spice to the tournament this year with a position in the Fifa Women’s Champions Cup at stake for further global recognition.

ASEC v FC Masar

Group B winners with emphatic performances lead by last domestic league season leading scorer Ouedraogo Habibou and Ami Diallo who continue exceptional form leading ASEC to the Semi Final, being very dangerous on the break in open attack the duo form a huge danger to FC Masar who themselves in their own domestic championship have been suspect to pace in defence and will need to be tactically aware throughout to maintain their ambitions.

FC Masar advanced to the Semi Final with a last gasp stoppage time goal to eliminate USFAS a game which showed their frailties to stronger opponents of pace but also their determination to keep fighting to the final whistle. The third place match winners last year maintains their ambition to go a step further will be looking for Hasnath Ubamba retaining her excellent form with dangerous runs adding to the potential goal threat for the Egyptian champions along with Alice Ogebe and the probing passes of Amira. Another strategic battle is in store.
