Group A

FC Masar enter the tournament with a resounding 6-0 win against Al Masry and with confidence of improving on last years third place finish.   Retaining a impressive squad Mahira Ali, Alice Ogebe, Farah Elmahdy, Hasnath Ubamba form crucial roles in a well drilled squad. Currently sitting in third place with 5 wins from 5 in their domestic championship with a game in hand 3pts behind leaders Wadi Degla and a goal differencial of 23-3.

A squad laced with Morocco national team members Sanaa Mssoudy, the impressive Doha El Madani, Safa Banouk danger lurks through the ranks.   With a place in the Fifa Women’s Champions Cup at stake for the eventual 2025 champions,  despite a weekend draw with ARAFF in their domestic championship the perennial Moroccan champions come focused and determined to take their second CAF Women’s Champions League title.

Uniffac champions 15 de Agosto added to their qualifying tournament squad in the CAF Women’s Champions League, with four Cameroonian players have joined the Guinean club. These include Flora Kameni, Beulou Ornella, Nsi Mbarga, and Mogai Djapa, who have been recruited to strengthen the team to join the likes of Jessy Ornella and Ana Maria Nchama whose brace against Ebolowa sealed their spot in the 2025 edition.

USFAS the underdog of the group come in the tournament having played warm up matches against the Women’s national team prior to the WAFCON 2026 Qualifying second round. They will look to Ma Traoré, Safiatou Keïta, Oumou Koné to provide ammunition in a tough group.

Group B

Recently three key players Esther Dikisha, Lydia Mohlakoana, and Elena Obono rejoined the club.  After nearly a month’s absence for the South African and Equatorial Guinean players, and more than five months for Dikisha (who was on loan at M’sichana), all three have traveled to Egypt.  Natacha Nkonda, a 23-year-old Cameroonian defensive midfielder from Al-Hammah SC (Saudi Arabia) signed a one-year contract to bolster their midfield. They enter after a lengthy period of preparation. Coach Lamia Boumehdi recently stated to CAF media “Preparation has gone well overall. The group has responded positively to the technical staff’s demands. We’ve focused on physical conditioning, team cohesion and tactical work because we know the competition level will be very high.”
