
Today the Iraq women’s national team began its training camp at the Claireontaine complex north of the French capital, Paris, in preparation for participation in the West Asian Federation Championship hosted by the Saudi Arabia next month.
The camp comes within the cooperation protocol program between the Iraqi Football Federation and the Embassy of the Republic of France , which includes holding training camps for women’s national teams to raise the levels of technical staff and players.
The team’s camp, which includes two training units per day, will continue for one week, before returning to Baghdad and entering another training camp that includes playing a number of trial matches, the aim of which is to determine the team’s readiness and the capabilities of the players.
Eight teams will participate the WAFF womens championships Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Guam, and Nepal, in addition to Saudi Arabia, the host of the tournament.
