Another great weekend in the world of Women’s football comes to a end with many celebrations across the globe.   The weekend highlighted by the final of the Uefa Women’s Champions League final in Torino which saw Lyon claim the title for the eighth time.   OL set the tone from the outset and as early as the sixth minute they took the lead with a stunning strike from Amandine Henry, Ada Hegerberg pounced in the 23rd minute to double the advantage and in the 33rd minute Catarina Macario tapped home into a empty net as Barcelona defence crumbled under the powerful display by Lyon.  Alexia Putellas finished a fine move in the 41st minute to reduce the defecit at the interval.   The second half saw Barcelona create half chances but could rarely find a open shot as a strong Lyon defence held out to regain their title won by the Catalans last year.

FC Twente Vrouwen retained the title in the Netherlands as they defeated rivals Ajax 3-2 with a dramatic comeback from 0-2, Ajax had entered the game in the knowledge that they required to win by a 10 goal margin.

Pomurje emerged as champions in Slovenia in a hard fought contest against Olimpia Ljubljana neither team could find the target, playing out a goalless draw to give the host the necessary point to claim the title with a better head to head record over Olimpia as they both ended the season on 57 points.

Uk SMS Lodz claimed the title for the first time as they defeated UJ AZS Krakow 2-1, Dominika Kopinska’s excellent curling effort clinching the victory in the 60th minute.   Gornik ended the Reign of Czarni cruising to a 3-0 victory to move into second place, but Lodz better head to head record meant they could celebrate with one round remaining.

Spartak Myjava emerged as champions in Slovakia, Andrea Bogorova striking a brace as they defeated Zilina 3-0 to clinch the title in their final game of the season.   A better head to head record over second placed outgoing champion Slovan Bratislava earned the historic success for the club.

Maksimum also became a first time Champion in Moldova a 0-0 draw with Noroc was enough to open the champagne ending the run of Agarista-ss who will finish second in the table as they defeated Belceanka 4-0.

ZNK Split regained the title in Croatia with a round to spare as they crushed Rijeka 11-0, Korál Hazan struck five goals in the rout.

PAOK retained the title in Greece as they played out a 1-1 draw in the third round of matches in the play offs.

Bayelsa Queens sealed the Super 6 Championship in Nigeria on the back of a brace from the inspiration of Gift Monday, who  scored 9 goals overall in the tournament defeating Nasarawa 2-1 in the match that decided the champions.

BH Bank won their fourth title in Tunisia as they defeated Sidi Bouzid 4-1 in the final round of championship play off games, their first success since 2019.

In Lesotho LDF Ladies won the championship with a 10-0 victory in their final match over Limkokwing, On Friday She Corporate claimed the title in Uganda playing out a titanic goalless draw over second place Kampala Queens to win the championship on goal difference 25-12 to Kampala 25-13.
