Brasileiro Feminino 2019 São Francisco defeat Sport 3-0, São José start 2-0 with a win over Ponte Preta.

São Francisco rounded off the first round of the Brasileiro Feminino 2019 championship defeating a hastily arranged Sport team 3-0. Sport who dissolved the female team only to be forced to play in this year’s championship under severe pressure which penalties could have included a 2 year ban for the male team only registered 14 of the squad yesterday with the Cbf.

Pele gave Sao Francisco the lead on 17 minutes but Sport battled and the floodgates failed to materialise. It took until the 89th minute when Pipoca doubled the lead and a 95th minute Nathalia goal sealed the points for Sao Francisco.

Sao Jose opened round two proceedings with a second successive victory this time over Ponte Preta. Tayane opened the scoring on 5 minutes and Michele Carioca sealed the win on 63 minutes.

Audax defeated Minas in the other second round game. Goalless at half time Lulu struck her second goal of the season in the 51st minute to break the deadlock. Dantas sealed the victory in the 86th minute to maintain Audax 100% record.

Tomorrow sees the classic as Corinthians host Santos in a game that can be seen live on @BRFeminino twitter page. The match starts at 15hr local 19hr C.E.T.

Ferroviaria host Iranduba in the other game of the day at 18h30, 22h30 cet.
